Mommies.

ayoungmotherslove:

Joss is 6 months tomorrow, and she’s still not sitting up on her own. I see babies that are younger than her and are already doing it. Can you please throw some encouragement my way? I’m seriously paranoid that it’s my fault she’s not progressing. She’s a petite baby, smaller than most, could that be a reason?

Every child is different and will develop at their own pace, it’s nothing to be concerned about and it’s definitely nothing that you’ve done. Our son didn’t sit on his own until 6-7 months, simply because he didn’t want to. Didn’t start crawling until 8 1/2 months then within 30 days of that he started walking and a month later was running… it just depends on what they want to do. The only thing that should concern you is if she is physically capable of doing it. If so then just encourage her and let her choose to do it on her own. There’s really nothing else you can do when it comes to these things, she’ll do it when she’s ready!

  5. y0u-are-so-beautiful answered: give her some time, my close families friends baby just turned 6 months, perfectly healthy everything in check, he’s not sitting up either(:
  6. brookemariegarcia answered: I was small myself as a child and I was a bit slow when it came to developing but that’s just because I was small. I’m fine now.
  7. simplysarahjean91 answered: It could be because shes small. Try propping her up and letting her play with toys. Every baby is different. Don’t worry, she’ll get it! :)l
  8. optimistprimate answered: I know I’m not a mom (at least, I don’t think I am…), but I was a real late bloomer. I don’t think I sat until about eight months :)
